⚠️ DRAFT — preview creator terms for the Givabit MVP. Not final legal text.
Creator terms
The terms you agree to when you create and list work on Givabit.
1. You keep your rights
You keep ownership and copyright of your artwork. By listing it, you grant Givabit a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote it on the platform.
2. You own what you upload
You confirm you created the work or hold all rights needed to sell it, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. You’re responsible for what you list (see the Acceptable Use rules).
3. Choosing a buyer license
When you create a collection you pick the license a buyer gets in the artwork. By default, a buyer owns the token, not the copyright. Options:
- All rights reserved — buyer owns the token only; you keep all rights (default).
- Personal use — buyer may display it personally, no commercial use (a16z “Can’t Be Evil” CBE-PR).
- Commercial use — buyer gets non-exclusive commercial rights; you keep yours too (CBE-NECR).
- CC0 — you release the work into the public domain; anyone may use it.
- NFT License 2.0 — personal use + limited commercial use (capped).
4. Curation
Collections are reviewed before they go public. We may decline or request changes to keep Givabit’s spirit and meet these terms.
